July is the ideal time for planting potatoes and asparagus. Start laying out potatoes in
trays so they’ll begin sprouting and plant asparagus in beds that are well composted and fertilized.
Continue planting fruit trees and prune grape vines while the weather is at its coldest.
Sow and grow: potatoes, onions, broccoli (in warmer regions), baby spinach, broad beans, peas, cauliflowers, cabbages radish, beetroot, radicchio, red lettuce, rhubarb,
strawberries.
