Dig some dirt

It’s cold, nothing much is growing – not even the weeds.

If you’re planning on digging a new garden come spring, get started now.

Turn the sods and leave them chunky – they may be too gluey to break up anyway, but the weather will work its magic over the next few months to condition them for your new garden. You can break them up later as the weather warms.

A raised garden surround can be built around them too.
